Breaking the Habit of Convenience Eating

Hey friend,

Let’s talk about something that’s made it way too easy to get off track with healthy eating—food delivery apps. Whether it’s Uber Eats, DoorDash, or just a good old-fashioned restaurant delivery, the ability to have whatever we’re craving show up at our doorstep in minutes is both a blessing and a curse.

Now, I have to admit—this isn’t a personal struggle for me because I refuse to pay all those ridiculous fees. But I know plenty of people who rely on these services often, and let’s be real… when food is that easy to get, it’s even easier to make choices that don’t align with our goals.

So, how do we combat this? Simple. Just don’t do it. Okay, okay—I know that’s easier said than done. But seriously, take a second to think about how much money you’ll save if you cut back on ordering out. Those extra fees? The impulse add-ons? It adds up fast.

Here’s the challenge: Try not to use these services at all this week. Even grocery delivery—if you want it, go get it yourself. The extra step of having to physically go to the store or a restaurant makes you more intentional about what you’re choosing.

And if you’re really craving that burger or pizza? Make it at home. I promise, even the “unhealthy” meals you cook yourself will be way better than what you’d get from a restaurant—both in quality and in portion size.

Let’s break the habit of convenience and get back to eating what’s already in our kitchen. We’ve got this!
