This week, I want to talk about injuries—because when it comes to working out, they can happen to anyone.

One of the biggest things I’ve learned over time is how important proper form really is. When we’re younger, we can sometimes get away with doing things “good enough.” But now? My body definitely lets me know when I’ve pushed it too far or done something incorrectly. Recovery just isn’t as fast as it used to be, and I recently found myself completely out of commission for a few months because of an injury.

Taking the time to learn and focus on proper form doesn’t just help you get better results from your workouts—it helps protect you from unnecessary injuries. The goal is progress, not setbacks. An injury can sideline you physically and mentally, and getting back into the rhythm afterward can feel daunting.

If you do end up injured—like I did—don’t panic and don’t give up. There are still things you can do to stay on track. Stretching, gentle yoga, and mobility work can be incredibly helpful during recovery. These slower, more intentional movements give your muscles some much-needed attention while improving flexibility and range of motion.

Think of it as supporting your body instead of fighting it. These types of exercises don’t just help while you’re healing—they actually make you stronger and more resilient when you return to full workouts. Making flexibility and mobility a regular part of your routine can help you get more out of every workout and reduce your risk of future injuries.

The key takeaway this week? Move smart, move intentionally, and listen to your body. Slow progress is still progress—and sometimes, taking care of yourself is the workout.

This week, I want to talk about snacking — because let’s be real, we all do it… some of us more than others.

There are going to be moments when you just need something. Telling yourself to “just don’t snack” sounds good in theory, but in real life? That’s easier said than done. Snacking isn’t the problem. The problem is when it quietly derails all the progress we’ve been working so hard to make.

What really helps is having a plan. When we don’t plan, we reach for whatever is easiest — the greasy bag of chips, the tub of ice cream, or whatever comfort food is calling our name in the moment. But if you already have better options available, it’s much easier to make a choice that still supports your goals.

Now, let’s talk about “healthy versions” of snacks for a second. We’ve all tried one that looked amazing online, only to take one bite and think, never again. A bad recipe can completely turn you off from trying anything labeled “healthy” ever again. And honestly, I get it.

The good news is that there are healthier swaps out there that actually taste good. Everyone’s taste buds are different, so what works for me may not work for you — and that’s okay. The goal is to find a few go-to snacks that you genuinely enjoy and don’t feel like punishment.

Below are a couple of simple snack ideas you can try this week. Nothing fancy. Nothing complicated. Just realistic options that can help you stay on track when the snack cravings hit.

Try this Spring Roll Recipe:

Snacking doesn’t have to be an enemy. With a little planning and a few solid options, it can actually be part of a balanced, sustainable lifestyle. Let’s snack smarter this week and keep moving forward.

This week, I want to talk about setbacks.

We all have good days and bad days, and sometimes those bad days feel like they outweigh the good. No matter how disciplined or dedicated you are, those days still happen. And honestly? That’s just part of being human.

I’ve definitely had a setback this season — a 12-pound one. I know exactly what happened. I chose the easy option a few too many times. Stress from work, daily responsibilities, and life in general made convenience feel like the only option in the moment. There’s no big excuse here. Sometimes life is just… life.

The key isn’t pretending it didn’t happen or beating yourself up about it. The key is getting back on track.

If there’s one thing I’ve learned on this journey, it’s that perfection isn’t realistic. It never was. Progress is about recognizing when you’ve gone off course, understanding why, and making the choice to correct it. That’s it.

Think of it like driving. You veer off the road a little — it happens. You don’t turn around and quit the trip. You straighten the steering wheel and keep going. That’s exactly what I’m doing now, and honestly, it’s my gift to myself this year.

If you can relate to this, don’t panic. Don’t spiral. Don’t dwell in regret. Keep your eyes forward. We’re still capable of success, growth, and wellness — even after a setback.

Hang in there. We’ve got this.

Okay everyone, we are officially in the full swing of the holiday season. Some of us are spending this time with friends, family, and loved ones. Others are taking a step back and choosing to care for themselves so they can end the year with peace and positivity. And then there are the brave souls who have surrendered to the chaos—fighting traffic, hopping from store to store, trying to find that perfect gift, the perfect decoration, or that one item guaranteed to make your festive setup out-sparkle everyone else’s.

Whatever you’re choosing to do, make sure it’s the thing that truly makes you happy. Take this time to focus on what will bring you the most joy this month. Maybe that’s peaceful time alone, or maybe it’s being surrounded by friends and family. Either way, honor what feels right for you.

Just don’t overextend yourself to the point where you start 2026 already drained. Let’s gift ourselves better choices, gentler schedules, and a plan that sets us up for a successful, healthy, and happy new year.

Let’s talk about the holidays — and let’s be honest about it.
For some people, this is the season of joy, family, matching pajamas, big dinners, and heartfelt memories. But for others? It’s a time of stress, pressure, chaos, and emotional landmines. The truth is, both experiences are valid, and a lot of us fall somewhere in the middle.

Holidays used to be about gathering everyone — the people you love, the ones you tolerate, and even the ones who make your eye twitch. Big dinners, loud houses, a few laughs, a few arguments… the “traditional” holiday scene. But things are changing. More and more people are choosing peace over pressure. They’re choosing to stay home, keep the circle small, spend it with close friends, their pets, or even enjoy a quiet holiday alone. And you know what? There’s nothing wrong with that.

Life is stressful right now. Between work demands, financial struggles, and just trying to hold everything together day to day, the idea of using your precious time off to travel — only to be judged, interrogated about your life choices, or pulled into unnecessary drama — just isn’t appealing anymore. And honestly, it shouldn’t.

On top of all that, holidays are expensive — groceries, gifts, traveling… everything costs more. For some, skipping the big gathering isn’t just for mental peace, it’s a financial necessity.

But on the flip side, there are people who love the season — the gatherings, the games, the laughter, the warmth of being surrounded by family and friends. If that’s you, that’s beautiful. Cherish it. Enjoy every moment.

Wherever you fall on the spectrum… your choice is valid.

At the end of the day, doing what brings you peace matters most. High stress doesn’t help your health, your mindset, or your weight-loss journey. Stress increases cortisol, which affects your sleep, metabolism, cravings, and even your blood pressure. So protecting your mental space during the busiest time of the year isn’t selfish — it’s necessary.

This week’s message is simple:
Do what makes YOU happy this holiday season — not what’s expected of you.
Protect your peace, protect your wallet, and protect your progress.

Your health — physical and mental — is worth it.

Today, I just want to talk about that lull—you know the one. That quiet, slightly odd stretch of time after Halloween but before Thanksgiving and Christmas take over every store, every schedule, and every thought in our heads. It’s that brief, beautiful moment where things slow down just enough for you to catch your breath before the holiday chaos begins.

If you’re like me, you can already feel the holiday energy building—plans, shopping lists, family gatherings, decorations, all of it. But right now, for just this moment, it’s calm. My only recommendation today? Appreciate that peace and silence while it’s here.

Let yourself take it easy.
– Rest without guilt.
– Watch a movie at home.
– Make yourself a simple fruit and veggie tray to snack on.
– Go to bed early if you can.

This is your chance to recharge your mind and body so you don’t get swept up in the whirlwind that’s coming. Use this quiet time to breathe, reset, and prepare yourself—not just for the to-do lists, but for the joy that’s meant to come with the holidays too.

So today, slow down a little. Enjoy your peace before the madness starts. You’ve earned it.

Your pup can be your best workout partner. They never cancel, never complain, and always bring enthusiasm to the session! If you’re throwing a ball, don’t just stand there waiting for them to bring it back—chase after them, run around the yard, or play a game of tag. If you’re going for a walk, make it a longer one than usual. Try a new route, find a nearby trail, or just enjoy the fresh air and freedom of being outside.

And here’s the thing: if you’re struggling to find the motivation to move for yourself, do it for your dog. That sweet face waiting for you at the door after work? They need exercise, too. They need to stretch those joints, get their heart rate up, and stay healthy—just like we do. Let that be your reason to lace up your shoes and head outside.

The Mental Health Boost

And it’s not just about physical fitness. Spending time outside with your dog is amazing for your mental health. The movement helps release tension, the fresh air clears your head, and the unconditional love from your pup? Instant mood booster.

Even on tough days, a simple walk with your furry friend can reset your mindset. You might start off dragging your feet, but by the end, you’ll find yourself smiling—and so will your pup.

Make It Fun and Creative

There are so many ways to keep things interesting:

Try agility training or obstacle courses in your backyard.

Teach your dog a new trick—sit, spin, fetch, or even dancing!

Play “follow the leader” and alternate between walking, jogging, and skipping.

Make weekend adventures part of your routine—beach runs, park days, or hikes.

The key is to make it fun, not forced. When you’re both enjoying it, it won’t even feel like exercise.

So this week, grab the leash, call your best furry friend, and get outside together. Let your pup remind you that movement doesn’t have to be structured or serious—it can be joyful, playful, and full of love.

After all, who better to motivate you than the one who’s always happy to see you move?

I don’t know about you, but I love water. I’ve always been one of those people who could drink it all day and actually enjoy it. For the longest time, I thought everyone could relate—until I moved and realized I had just been lucky with my good-tasting tap water.

Now? The water where I live is… awful. Even when I boil it, it still tastes bad. There’s this odd, heavy aftertaste that just makes it hard to drink. So, like many of us would do, I started buying bottled and gallon water. But after a while, spending close to $50 a month on water started to feel ridiculous—not to mention all that plastic waste! Terrible for the environment and my wallet.

So, I started doing some research. There are so many options for clean drinking water at home—whole-house filtration systems, faucet attachments, standing dispensers—but I just wanted something simple, stylish, and effective.

After reading reviews and watching videos, I finally decided on the AquaTru Countertop Water Purifier. Let me tell you—I’m so glad I did. It’s sleek, super easy to use, and the water tastes amazing. Clean, crisp, and pure—none of that weird mineral tang or strange smell. It’s honestly changed how much I drink again because it actually tastes good!

Another big win? It’s helped me easily increase my daily water intake. Having fresh, great-tasting water right on the counter makes it so much easier to reach for my water bottle instead of a calorie-filled drink. It’s one of those little changes that ends up having a big impact over time.

If you’ve been struggling with bad-tasting water where you live, I definitely recommend giving AquaTru a try. You’ll save money in the long run, cut down on plastic waste, and actually look forward to drinking water again.

Sometimes it’s the simple changes that make the biggest difference—and this one has been a total win for me.

If you think about it, moving is kind of like hitting the reset button on your whole life. You’re examining everything you own, filtering out what you don’t need, packing up what you’re keeping, and starting fresh somewhere new. It’s exciting, but it’s also… a lot.

Whether you’re moving across town using a friend’s truck or hauling your life across the country, one thing is guaranteed—it costs money, takes tons of planning, and brings a whole lot of stress. Even when you’re excited about your new place, the process itself can feel overwhelming.

I recently moved across states, and let me tell you—it was not fun, even with movers and plenty of help. The last few days of clearing out our home were especially tough. Once the fridge was empty, you can guess what happened next… we ate out. A lot. Grab-and-go meals, drive-thrus, and anything we could get our hands on fast. It was convenient, but not exactly healthy.

So how do you keep yourself from falling completely off track when life looks like a pile of cardboard boxes? Here are a few things that can help:

Plan ahead (as much as possible)
Before the move gets too crazy, try to prep a few easy, healthy meals that you can grab and heat up. Even something simple like rotisserie chicken, pre-cooked rice, and frozen veggies can save you from the drive-thru.

Keep a “mini fridge survival kit”
If your fridge is on its last few days, keep a cooler or mini fridge stocked with basics like yogurt, boiled eggs, fruit, protein shakes, or bottled water. It’ll get you through the transition days without feeling like you have to live on burgers and fries.

Stay hydrated
It sounds simple, but dehydration adds to stress and fatigue. When you’re moving, it’s easy to forget to drink water—especially when you’re running around packing or cleaning. Keep a bottle with you at all times.

Move your body in other ways
You might not have time for your normal workout, but trust me—you’ll be burning calories lifting boxes, cleaning, and running errands. Try to take a short walk once you’re settled in for the day to stretch your body and clear your mind.

Give yourself grace
Moving is temporary chaos. Don’t beat yourself up if you’re not eating perfectly or missing your normal routines. The goal is just to do your best and get through it without feeling like you’ve completely fallen off the wagon.

Once you’re in your new place and things start to settle down, you’ll be surprised at how quickly you can get back to your regular routine. Moving is stressful—but it’s also a fresh start. Let’s do our best to make it a healthy one.

Have you ever had one of those days where you just feel off—but you can’t really put your finger on why? That was me recently. I was sitting at home, not doing much of anything, and yet I couldn’t get comfortable. I felt unsettled, out of place, and frustrated with myself for not knowing what was wrong. By the end of the day, I realized what it was: anxiety.

But here’s the thing—it didn’t feel like the “typical” anxiety I’ve known before. It wasn’t the racing heart, jittery, can’t-sit-still kind. It was more subtle. A quiet, lingering unease that crept in and followed me around, trying to steal my peace and ruin my day.

And on top of that, I carried guilt. Guilt for being short with my family even though they had done nothing wrong. Guilt for eating whatever I wanted instead of making the better choices I know support me. Honestly, in that moment, I just didn’t care. And if you’ve ever been there, you know exactly what I mean.

Later, I realized something—I had gone a few days without my Ashwagandha. For me, it’s been such a helpful part of keeping my stress in check, and skipping it was more impactful than I realized. Once I took it again and decided to stop fighting the day—to just call it what it was and promise myself I’d try again tomorrow—I felt better. And the next day really was better.

Here’s the truth: there are many levels of anxiety, and for some people, medical support is necessary (and absolutely valid). But no matter where you are on that spectrum, being able to recognize it, name it, and respond to it is key to finding balance.

This little experience reminded me that health isn’t just about what we eat or how much we move—it’s also about how we care for our minds. Mental health and physical health are deeply connected, and both matter.

So instead of forcing myself into a hardcore workout that week, I made small, mindful choices:
I sat outside with my coffee and just breathed.
I took slow walks instead of fast ones.
I let the sunshine and fresh air do their work.

And you know what? That was enough.

I may have lost a day (or two) to anxiety, but it didn’t steal my whole week, or my month. I faced it, gave myself grace, and kept moving forward. That’s progress.

Small gains add up to big results. Hang in there, friends. If you’re struggling too, know you’re not alone. Do what you need to do to keep moving.
